The Bivings Group 2002 Internet and Politics
Report
The Web is quickly becoming one of the most vital tools in
a political campaign's arsenal. The Internet represents an
effective and affordable means for candidates to reach their
constituencies, address their concerns, and raise the funds
necessary to win an election. It is also an excellent medium
for them to present their positions, develop an identity,
and "brand" themselves. The Web enables politicians to engage
interested parties, provide constituents with in-depth background
information on the issues, and seek their support.
