The Internet's Role in Political Campaigns: Utilization by United States Senate and House Challengers in 2002
June 2002

The Bivings Group conducted this study in an effort to assess the current role of the Internet in the political campaign process at the federal level. This report explores the Internet presence and efficacy of the campaign committees of 1,017 United States Senate and House challengers who are running during the 2002 election cycle, including 403 Republican, 357 Democratic, 138 Libertarian, and 119 Independent / Other candidates. This data was collected during the month of May 2002. In addition, the challenger data is compared to the incumbent data collected by the Bivings Group during the month of March 2002.

The Internet's Role in Political Campaigns: Utilization by Illinois State Candidates in 2002
June 2002

The Bivings Group conducted this study in an effort to assess the current role of the Internet in the political campaign process at the Illinois state level. This report explores the Internet presence and efficacy of the campaign committees of 60 Illinois state and congressional candidates who are running during the 2002 election cycle, including 21 Republicans, 23 Democrats and 16 Independent party candidates.

The Bivings Group conducted this study in an effort to assess the current role of the Internet in the political campaign process at the federal level. This report explores the Internet presence and efficacy of the campaign committees of 434 incumbent United States Senators and Representatives who are running during the 2002 election cycle, including 230 Republicans and 204 Democrats.
